Austin Voges embarks on his first season as John Jay's Men's and Women's Head Volleyball Coach

Voges comes to John Jay from the Garden Empire Volleyball Association where he has been serving as the Director of Volleyball Operations since 2017. There, he played a lead role in planning and monitoring the day-to-day operations of the team, executed strategies to optimize growth of the program, and hired, mentored, and supervised the staff.

Voges also has plentiful experience coaching volleyball at the collegiate level. Most recently, he served as an Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator for Long Island University (LIU) from 2021-22. There, he was a pioneer for the launch of the men's program and oversaw and implemented all aspects of the recruiting process.

Voges also has experience as a head coach as he was at the helm of fellow CUNYAC school Hunter College from 2016-18 where he won two conference championships (2017 & 2018) and was named CUNYAC Coach of the Year in 2017.

Additionally, Voges had two stints as an assistant men's volleyball coach at Stevens Institute of Technology from 2010-13 and then from 2018-21. While there, he helped lead the men's volleyball team to an NCAA Final Four appearance in 2019.

The new Bloodhound coach also comes with experience leading at USA Volleyball, having been an assistant coach for three different boys youth programs from 2017-19.

Voges is a product of Long Island University.
