Leszek Stankiewicz is in his fifth season as head coach of the men's volleyball team and fourth with the women's team. In addition, he serves as the Recreation & Intramurals Manager.
Stankiewicz is a graduate of CUNY York College where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Physical Education. He was a four-year member of the men's volleyball team and was named a CUNYAC all-star all four years. In his junior and senior seasons, the Maspeth resident combined to record 600 kills, 310 digs, 213 total blocks, 48 assists, 47 service aces, and 797 total points. In addition, he competed on the Cardinals' men's soccer and track and field teams.
He currently serves as the head volleyball coach for the Empire Volleyball Academy in New York City. Stankiewicz has held many Aquatics and Sports Director jobs throughout his professional career. He holds certifications including National Volleyball Official and Scorer, PAVO Certified Volleyball Line Judge, ACE Personal Trainer, Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, and NDPA Pool Operator.
