Men's Volleyball Loses at NYU Polytechnic University

Brooklyn, N.Y.— The John Jay men's volleyball team closed out its 2012 regular season with a loss on Thursday evening as the Bloodhounds  were 3-0 losers to NYU Polytechnic University, losing 25-8, 25-20, 25-20.
 
The loss ends the Bloodhounds' regular season at 4-16.
 
John Jay was led by Frankie Galang and Korede Griffith with four kills each. Galang added a service ace, while Griffith had five digs and a solo block. Nicholas Todaro had two kills, a service ace, two digs and two solo blocks, while Dale Hoa had eight assists and three digs.
 
NYU Polytechnic was led by Joe Gabor, Adam Lakawicz and Stefan Leger with seven kills each.
 
John Jay has earned the No. 7 seed for the CUNYAC / Emblem Health men's volleyball championship and will play at No. 2 seed Baruch College in the quarterfinal round on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
