The #7 women's volleyball team lost to #2 Hunter College, 3-0 (25-14, 25-8, 25-3), on Tuesday evening at the Hunter Sportsplex.
The Bloodhounds end their season with an overall record of 5-21 (1-7 in CUNYAC). The Hawks improve to 17-13 (7-1 in CUNYAC).
Senior
Martina Hot led the Bloodhounds with seven kills and seven digs. Junior
Katherine Bonilla dished out nine assists and added four digs. Sophomore
Latanya Buckham recorded four digs and sophomore
Jeanette Luna registered two kills.
For the Hawks, Karolina Gajda had a game-high 15 kills. Brianna O'Hagan registered a game-high 10 service aces.
"Tonight's outcome was not what we were looking for," first-year head coach
Eder Mathelier said. "However, I am really proud of the girls and I look forward to next season."
The Hawks will now play on Friday, November 8 in the semifinals.
