Box Score The women's volleyball team fell to Hunter College, 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-11), on Thursday afternoon at the Hunter Sportsplex. The Bloodhounds drop to 2-9 (1-4 in CUNYAC) while the Hawks improve to 6-6 (4-1 in CUNYAC).
Junior Hakiham Lovell-McFee and
Ashley Diaz and sophomore
Qendresa Efendija each finished with four kills on the night. Senior
Martina Hot registered a game-high eight digs and junior
Katherine Bonilla dished out a team-high 15 assists. Lovell-McFee recorded a hit percentage of .800.
The Hawks were led by Briana O'Hagan, who had a game-high 10 kills, game-high five service aces and four digs. Kristine Ciurcina and Taylor Kordich had 16 and 11 assists, respectively.
The team played hard tonight but came up short," head coach
Eder Mathelier said. "We need to continue working hard in practice to see the results we want."
The Bloodhounds will complete their road trip on Saturday, September 26 when they head up to Western Connecticut for a tri-match.
