Women's Volleyball Defeated by the College of Saint Elizabeth

Box Score New York, N.Y. - The John Jay women's volleyball team fell to the College of Saint Elizabeth, 3-0 on Thursday evening. The Bloodhounds drop to 0-2 on the season while the Gothic Knights win their first game of the season.

Junior Katherine Bonilla finished with a double-double, 13 assists and 10 digs, to go along with two kils and two serivce aces. Junior Ashley Diaz had a team-high four service aces and senior Martina Hot recorded a team-high six kills. Sophomore Qendresa Efendija registered four kills and six digs.

The Screaming Eagles were led by Subhana Wrights, who finished with a game-high seven kills and one service ace. Amy Cooper dished out a team-high 12 assists and recorded a game-high 12 service aces.

"Our team played great but we need to find a way to push through for a little longer," head coach Eder Mathelier said. "I think after a few more games, they will be just fine."

The Bloodhounds go back on the road on Saturday for a match against USMMA at Liebertz Gymnasium. The match is scheduled for 12:00pm.
