Box Score The women's volleyball team fell to USMMA, 3-0 (25-10, 25-14, 25-17), on Saturday afternoon at Liebertz Gynasium. The Bloodhounds fall to 0-3 while the Mariners improve to 5-0.
The Bloodhounds were led by junior
Sherlyn Wong, who finished with a game-high eight kills. Junior
Katherine Bonilla added 11 assists and junior
Ashley Diaz recorded six digs and two service aces. Sophomore
Perla Pozo had a team-high eight digs.
Michelle Danhof had an all-around great game for the Mariners as she finished with seven kills, five service aces, four digs, and one assist. Teammate Paige Queen dished out a game-high 20 assists and Jennifer Perkins and Quinn O'Connell recorded six kills each.
"The team made a stride in the right direction as the game progressed," first-year head coach
Eder Mathelier said. "USMMA is a tough team and I am happy with how well they played against the competition."
The Bloodhounds next match is on Tuesday, September 10 at Purchase College. The match is scheduled for 7:00pm.
