The women's volleyball defeated the College of Saint Elizabeth, 3-1 (25-19, 25-16, 19-25, 25-16), on Sunday afternoon in Morristown, NJ. With the win, the Bloodhounds improve to 8-11 while the Screaming Eagles fall to 10-21.
Junior
Latanya Buckham fell two kills and four service aces shy of a triple double with eight kills, 13 digs, and a game-high six aces. Senior
Katherine Bonilla recorded a double-double with a game-high 30 assists and a team-high 21 digs. Junior
Jeanette Luna finished with nine kills, eight digs, and three service aces. Freshman
Rachel Eng had nine kills and
Perla Pozo added 12 digs.
John Jay totaled 39 kills, 59 digs, 13 service aces, and three blocks in the contest.
The Bloodhounds will return to the Doghouse on Tuesday, October 28, for a match against York College at 6pm. Prior to the match, the Athletics Department will honor its four seniors playing in their final home game of their career.
