The women's volleyball team started off the CUNYAC schedule with a 3-0 loss to Baruch (15-8, 25-15, 25-15) and a 3-0 loss to CSI (25-23, 25-20, 25-18) on Saturday. The Bloodhounds fall to 1-7 on the year and 0-2 in the conference.
In the first match against the Bearcats, senior
Katherine Bonilla dished out 10 assists to go along with five digs and two service aces. Freshman
Rachel Eng recorded a team-high six digs. Junior
Latanya Buckham and freshman
Morgan Nugent registered three service aces and three digs apiece.Â
In the second match against the Dolphins, Eng fell three digs shy of a double-double with a game-high 12 kills, seven digs, and two service aces. Buckham had five kills, eight digs, and four service aces. Senior
Ashley Diaz and junior
Perla Pozo combined for 12 digs and three service aces. Bonilla added 12 assists and four service aces. Â Â
The Bloodhounds return to the Doghouse on Tuesday, September 16, for a conference match against Hunter College at 6:00pm.Â
