The women's volleyball team swept York College, 3-0 (25-11, 25-14, 25-23) on Tuesday evening in Jamaica, NY. The Bloodhounds improve to 8-13 on the season and 4-3 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. The Cardinals fall to 4-19 overall and 2-6 in the conference.

Rachel Eng combined for 10 kills, four service aces, and 29 digs. Junior
Katrina Zapanta dished out a game-high 14 assists to go along with three kills, four aces, and four digs. Freshman
Nyla Lloyd-Clarke finished with five kills and senior
Perla Pozo added three aces and four digs. Sophomore
Anna Gevorgyan registered four kills.
The Bloodhounds totaled 21 kills, 18 assists, 13 service aces, and 42 digs.
With the win, John Jay has secured the fourth playoff spot in the upcoming CUNYAC tournament. The Bloodhounds will host a quarterfinals match at the Doghouse on Tuesday, November 3.
The Bloodhounds host City College (CCNY) on Thursday, October 29, for their final conference match of the season at 6:00 pm. Before the match, the Athletics Department will honor two seniors,
