The women's volleyball team defeated City College (CCNY), 3-1 (18-25, 25-8, 25-18, 25-12), on Thursday evening at the Doghouse. The Bloodhounds improve to 9-13 on the season and finish with a 5-3 conference record. The Beavers fall to 6-27 overall and finish with a 2-6 conference record. 

Sophomore Rachel Eng fell one kill shy of a triple-double with a game-high nine kills, a game-high 10 service aces, and a game-high 16 digs. Sophomore Kimberly Wright and freshman Nyla Lloyd-Clarke registered eight kills each. Junior Katrina Zapanta dished out a game-high 30 assists to go along with five kills, four aces, and seven digs. Senior Latanya Buckham and sophomore Savannah Davis combined for nine kills, three aces, and 23 digs.  

The Bloodhounds host Old Westbury on Saturday, October 31, at 12:00 pm at the Doghouse.

John Jay will be the fourth seed in the upcoming CUNYAC tournament. The Bloodhounds will face #5 Brooklyn College on Tuesday, November 3, at 6:00 pm at the Doghouse in a quarterfinals match.

Before the match, the Athletics Department honored seniors Perla Pozo and Latanya Buckham who were playing in one of their final regular season home games of their collegiate career.
