The #4 women's volleyball team swept #5 Brooklyn College, 3-0 (25-18, 25-21, 25-10), on Tuesday evening at the Doghouse. With the win, the Bloodhounds improve to 11-13 on the season. The Bulldogs end the season with a 7-21 overall record. 

Sophomore Rachel Eng recorded a double-double with a game-high 13 kills, a game-high 22 digs, and two service aces. Senior Latanya Buckham picked up 12 kills, eight digs, and three aces. Junior Katrina Zapanta dished out a game-high 29 assists to go along with eight digs and three aces. Senior Perla Pozo finished with 19 digs and freshman Nyla Lloyd-Clarke had six kills. Sophomore Savannah Davis registered five kills and five assists. 

With the Bloodhounds leading early in the first set, Brooklyn recorded four straight points to lead 5-3. John Jay then went on a 7-1 run to go up 12-8. With the Bulldogs trailing 15-10, the guests fired off six straight points to lead 16-15. John Jay ended the set on an 8-1 run to take the set, 25-18. 

In the second set, Brooklyn went on a 4-0 run to take a 6-3 advantage. John Jay responded on a 6-3 run to tie the set at nine apiece. Later on, the Bulldogs led 18-15 but the Bloodhounds recorded the next eight points to take the middle set, 25-21. 

In the third and final set, John Jay registered six of the first eight points. The hosts increased its lead to nine after going on a 6-0 run. The Bloodhounds went on a 9-2 run to seal the victory, 25-10. 

The Bloodhounds will now face #1 Baruch College on Friday, November 6, at 6:00 pm at Hunter College. The winner of the match will play in the championship game at 8:00 pm.
