The men's volleyball team defeated Medgar Evers College, 3-0 (25-15, 25-15, 25-14), on Wednesday night in Brooklyn, NY. The Bloodhounds are now 2-1 on the season and 2-1 in the City University of New York Athletic Conference. The Cougars fall to 0-6 overall and 0-3 in CUNYAC.
John Jay was led by juniors
Jack Palleschi and
Nicholas Anderson. Palleschi recorded a game-high 14 kills, four digs, three assists, and three service aces. Anderson dished out a game-high 23 assists to go along with seven kills and four digs.
Freshman
Juan DeJesus finished with seven kills, a game-high four service aces, four digs, and three assists. Senior
Yevgeniy Remennik picked up five kills, a game-high six digs, and two assists. Sophomore
Carmelo Cintron Jr. added four digs and two service aces.
The Bloodhounds finished with 34 kills, compared to Medgar Evers' eight.
The Bloodhounds will look to extend their win streak to three on Saturday, February 14, when they travel to SUNY Purchase for a non-conference match starting at 11 am.
