The men's volleyball team lost a tough one to SUNY Purchase, 3-2 (19-25, 25-20, 20-25, 25-23, 16-14), on Saturday afternoon in Purchase, NY. The Bloodhounds drop to 2-2 overall while the Panthers improve to 4-5.
Junior
Jack Palleschi finished with a double-double with a game-high 18 kills, a game-high 13 digs, and two blocks. Freshman
Juan DeJesus finished with 16 kills, nine digs, three assists, and two service aces. Junior
Nicholas Anderson recorded a game-high 38 assists, three kills, three service aces, and eight digs. Senior
Yevgeniy Remennik totaled eight kills, seven digs, and three aces.
The Bloodhounds took two of the first three sets but SUNY Purchase tied it up at 2 apiece. The final set went back-and-forth but John Jay fell, 16-14.
John Jay finished with 46 kills, 44 assists, 44 digs, nine service aces, and two blocks.
The Bloodhounds will head to Hunter College on Monday, February 16, for a CUNYAC Multi-Match. John Jay takes on York College at 9 a.m. and then Brooklyn College at 11 a.m.
