The men's volleyball team finished the regular season against Brooklyn College on Tuesday evening in Brooklyn. The Bloodhounds won 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-12) to improve to 12-10 on the season and 10-6 in the conference. The Bulldogs drop to 1-18 overall and 1-15 in CUNYAC.
Junior
Jack Palleschi recorded his third double-double of the season with a game-high 15 kills, 12 digs, four assists, and one ace. Junior
Nicholas Anderson dished out a game-high 29 assists to go along with nine kills, five digs, and a game-high three service aces. Senior
Yevgeniy Remennik finished with nine kills, four assists, and 13 digs. Freshman
Juan DeJesus registered five kills and three digs. Freshman
Gary Wu and
Brandon Dolores combined for eight digs. Freshman
Alexander Santana added three kills.
John Jay finished with 42 kills, 40 assists, five aces, and 47 digs.
The 12 regular season and 10 conference wins are both program records. The Bloodhounds will enter the CUNYAC tournament as the four seed. John Jay will host #5 Lehman College in the quarterfinals on Tuesday, April 7 at 6 p.m. at the Doghouse. The winner will advance to the semi's on Friday, April 10.
