Box Score The women's tennis team defeated St. Joseph's College Brooklyn, 6-3, on Friday afternoon at the USTA National Tennis Center in Flushing, NY. The Bloodhounds improve to 4-5. The Bears drop to 2-10.
John Jay's top doubles team of junior
Bernarda Reyes and sophomore
Viktoriia Plisenko was victorious, 8-2. At number two, the duo of senior
Gabriela Baez and freshman
Angelica Lozando Pena cruised to an 8-1 victory.
Head into singles play, the Bloodhounds led 2-1. Reyes (#1) and Plisenko (#2) won easily, 6-2, 6-3, and 6-1, 6-1, respectively. At number three, Baez came out with a 6-2, 6-2 victory. In the fourth spot, Lozando Pena won 6-4, 2-6, 1-0 (10-6).

The Bloodhounds close out the season on Friday, October 21, when they host Sarah Lawrence College at 4:30 pm at the USTA National Tennis Center.
