The women's volleyball team swept Medgar Evers College, 3-0 (25-16, 25-13, 25-12), on Thursday night at the Doghouse. The Bloodhounds improve to 9-11 on the year and finish with a conference record of 6-2. The Cougars drop to 0-23 overall and 0-8 in CUNYAC. 

Junior Rachel Eng recorded seven kills, a game-high nine service aces, and nine digs. Senior Jeanette Luna registered seven kills, four digs, and one ace. Senior Katrina Zapanta added a game-high 22 assists, five digs, two aces, and two kills. Junior Kimberly Wright had six kills and four digs. Senior Bridgette Sarco tallied nine digs and freshman Cassandra Castellanos had six kills. 

John Jay totaled 27 kills, 24 assists, 22 service aces, and 33 digs. 

Before the match, the Athletics Department honored Jeanette Luna, Katrina Zapanta, Bridgette Sarco, and Kimberly Wright as part of Senior Day.

The Bloodhounds travel to St. Joseph's College Brooklyn on Tuesday, October 25, at 7:00 pm.
