Women's Volleyball Falls to Western Connecticut State

The women's volleyball team lost to Western Connecticut State, 3-0 (25-17, 25-10, 25-19), on Thursday evening in Danbury, CT. The Bloodhounds drop to 6-7 on the year. The Colonials improve to 10-8. 

Junior Rachel Eng recorded a team-high eight kills, a game-high 13 digs, and two aces. Senior Katrina Zapanta dished out a team-high 13 assists to go along with three kills, three digs, and two service aces. Freshman Jhoanna Castro registered three kills and junior Anna Gevorgyan added six digs. Senior Jeanette Luna had John Jay's lone solo block. 

The Bloodhounds travel to Wayne, NJ for a non-conference tri-match on Saturday, October 8. The Bloodhounds face William Paterson at 11:00 am, followed by Cedar Crest at 1:00 pm.
