The men's volleyball team fell to Thiel College, 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 26-24) and Eastern Mennonite University, 3-0 (25-9, 25-10, 25-14), on Saturday afternoon in Harrisonburg, VA. The Bloodhounds drop to 12-9 on the year.
In the first match of the day against Thiel, senior
Nicholas Anderson picked up a team-high 21 assists, four kills, and two digs. Senior
Jack Palleschi recorded a team-high eight kills and five digs. Junior
Carmelo Cintron Jr. and sophomore
Juan DeJesus combined for nine kills, 12 digs, and four service aces. Junior
Francisco Miranda registered a team-high eight digs and three kills.
In the second match against Eastern Mennonite, Palleschi had a team-high eight kills. Anderson dished out a team-high 15 assists to go along with three kills. Sophomore
Brandon Dolores finished with a game-high nine digs.
For the day, John Jay totaled 47 kills, 43 assists, six service aces, and 53 digs.
