The women's volleyball team split a non-conference tri-match on Sunday afternoon in Dover, DE. The Bloodhounds are now 4-4 on the season.
Against Wesley College, senior
Katrina Zapanta and junior
Rachel Eng fell one stat shy of a double-double each. Zapanta dished out a team-high 20 assists, to go along with nine digs and three service aces. Eng finished with a team-high nine kills, a game-high 13 digs, and two aces. Junior
Savannah Davis and sophomore
Nyla Lloyd-Clarke combined for eight kills and three digs. Junior
Anna Gevorgyan added four digs and two service aces.
In the Bloodhounds' second match of the day against Washington Advertist, Lloyd-Clarke registered a team-high six kills and had John Jay's lone solo block. Eng notched a game-high and season-high 11 aces and five digs. Freshman
Kimberly Rodriguez dished out 13 assists and added three digs and two aces. Senior
Jeanette Luna recorded five aces and freshmen
Yuliya Samboryk and
Jhoanna Castro had five digs each. Freshmen
Jazmin Fabian and
Cassandra Castellanos picked up three service aces each.
John Jay totaled 38 kills, 37 assists, 34 service aces, and 56 digs on the day.
