The women's volleyball team collected their first win of the season after defeating Brooklyn College, 3-0 (25-9, 25-20, 25-22), on Thursday night at the Doghouse. The Bloodhounds improve to 1-2 overall and 1-0 in the conference. The Bulldogs drop to 0-3 on the season and 0-1 in CUNYAC.

Rachel Eng recorded a double-double with a game-high 10 kills and team-high 13 digs. Senior
Katrina Zapanta fell one ace shy of a double-double with a game-high 26 assists, a game-high nine service aces, five digs, and three kills. Senior

John Jay totaled 35 kills, 30 assists, 15 service aces, and 44 digs in the match.
The Bloodhounds host a CUNYAC tri-match on Saturday, September 10, at the Doghouse. John Jay faces Brooklyn at 12:00 pm and Hunter at 2:00 pm.
