The women's volleyball team lost to Montclair State University, 3-1 (25-9, 25-10, 19-25, 25-16), on Saturday afternoon in Montclair, NJ. The Bloodhounds drop to 7-7 on the season. The Red Hawks improve to 10-8. 

Junior Brittany Steele led the way with a game-high 15 kills and four digs. Senior Anna Gevorgyan recorded a team-high 15 digs and sophomore Kimberly Rodriguez dished out a game-high 28 assists. Freshman Brianna Geraldo finished with eight kills and eight digs. 

John Jay totaled 32 kills, 30 assists, three aces, and 42 digs. 

The Bloodhounds face Hunter College (12:00 pm) and Brooklyn College (2:00 pm) on Monday, October 9, in key conference matches.
