The men's volleyball team swept St. Joseph's College Brooklyn, 3-0 (25-9, 25-15, 25-14), on Wednesday night in their home opener at the Doghouse. The Bloodhounds improve to 7-9 overall while the Bears drop to 1-13.
Freshman
Steven Alvarado recorded a game-high 28 assists and three digs. Junior
Edwin Hernandez tallied a game-high eight kills, a game-high four service aces, and three digs. Freshman
Edwin Hernandez picked up six kills and freshman
Godwin Sequiera contributed with five digs. Senior
Francisco Miranda added three kills and five digs. Freshmen
Ryan Willix and Krystian Surdel finished with five and four kills, respectively.
John Jay registered 31 kills, 29 assists, 12 service aces, and 25 digs.
The Bloodhounds host Yeshiva University on Sunday, March 5, at 11:00 am at the Doghouse.
