The women's volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 win (25-17, 25-19, 25-19) on Thursday afternoon in Brooklyn, NY. With the win, the Bloodhounds extend their win streak to four and are now 4-0 overall and 3-0 in CUNYAC. The Cougars fall to 0-6 and 0-3 in the conference.
Freshman
Brianna Geraldo led the way with a game-high eight kills and a team-high seven digs. Sophomore
Kimberly Rodriguez dished out a game-high 22 assists to go along with a game-high seven service aces and three digs. Senior
Anna Gevorgyan added six digs and junior
Hualeska Garcia finished with four kills and three aces. Junior
Mballou Berete and sophomore
Mirialis Almanzar each had six kills.
John Jay finished with 28 kills, 22 assists, 12 service aces, and 26 digs.
The Bloodhounds host a non-conference tri-match on Saturday, September 16, at the Doghouse. John Jay will face William Paterson at 11:00 am followed by Wesley College at 3:00 pm.
