The women's volleyball team lost two non-conference matches on Friday evening in Scranton, PA. The Bloodhounds fell to Marywood University, 3-0 (25-11, 25-16, 25-16), and University of Scranton, 3-1 (21-25, 25-11, 25-15, 25-20). John Jay is now 4-4 on the season. 

In the match vs. Marywood, junior Brittany Steele recorded a team-high five kills and 10 digs. Freshman Brianna Geraldo tallied three kills and a team-high 12 digs. Sophomore Kimberly Rodriguez finished with a team-high 13 assists. Senior Anna Gevorgyan added eight digs and a team-high three service aces. Freshman Nicole Aguasvivas had nine digs and junior Nyla Lloyd-Clarke picked up a team-high three total blocks. 

Against Scranton, Geraldo led the way with a team-high nine kills and seven digs. Rodriguez dished out a team-high 22 assists to go along with four aces and five digs. Gevorgyan registered a team-high 14 digs and three service aces. Steele and junior Mballou Berete combined for 12 kills, six aces, and 11 digs. 

For the day, John Jay totaled 43 kills, 40 assists, 17 service aces, and 91 digs. 

The Bloodhounds return to CUNYAC play on Tuesday, September 26, when they host CCNY at 7:00 pm. The match will be live streamed at www.johnjayathletics.com/watch.
