Box Score The women's tennis team defeated Brooklyn College, 5-4, in a back-and-forth match in the season opener at Cunningham Park in Fresh Meadows, NY.
The Bloodhounds swept all three doubles to go up 3-0 heading into singles. The top duo of senior
Bernarda Reyes and
Rageene Berry came out on top, 8-6. At number two, freshman
Gabriela de Armas and sophomore
Angelica Lozano cruised to an 8-4 win. In the third spot, freshman
Gabrielle Schuck and senior
Dominique Dawkins were victorious by a score of 8-5.
In singles, Berry won easily, 6-1, 6-1, at number two. Lozano grinded out a victory at number four, 6-3, 6-4.
The Bloodhounds host Western Connecticut State on Thursday, September 14, at 4:00 pm at Cunningham Park.
