The women's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss (25-20, 25-19, 25-22) to FDU Florham on Saturday afternoon in Newark, NJ. The Bloodhounds were trailing Rutgers-Newark, 2-1 (18-25, 28-26, 25-18, 2-2), when the match was suspended due to a power outage. John Jay falls to 11-8 on the season.

Mirialis Almanzar finished with a team-high six kills, a match-high six total blocks, and a team-high two service aces. Sophomore
Brianna Geraldo totaled five kills and 13 digs. Freshman
Stephanie Marcano recorded 13 digs and freshman
Niovis Monsanto added five kills. Junior
Kimberly Rodriguez dished out a team-high 21 assists to go along with seven digs. Senior
Mballou Berete had four kills, four total blocks, and nine digs.
In the suspended match against Rutgers-Newark, Monsanto and senior
Nyla Lloyd-Clarke registered 13 and 11 kills, respectively. Geraldo was two kills shy of a double-double with eight kills and 10 digs. Rodriguez tallied 32 assists and six digs and Marcano picked up 17 digs. Senior
Hualeska Garcia totaled 11 digs.
The Bloodhounds host the College of New Rochelle on Monday, October 22, for a non-conference match at 7:00 pm at the Doghouse.
