The women's basketball team lost to the College of Staten Island, 83-58, on Tuesday evening in Staten Island, NY. The Bloodhounds snap their four-game winning streak and are now 4-3 overall and 1-1 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. The Dolphins improve to 5-2 and 2-0 in CUNYAC.

Nyasha Howard fell two rebounds shy of a double-double with a team-high 17 points, a game-high eight boards, and a team-high three assists and three steals. Freshman
Katie Healy came off the bench to record 14 points, seven rebounds, and a pair of steals.

Jessica Gorman grabbed seven boards.
Staten Island opened the game scoring eight of the first 10 points. A layup by Healy and a jumper by Albright cut the deficit to four with 5:49 left in the first quarter. CSI followed on a 7-0 run to increase their lead to 17-6. Gorman drained a three at the end of the quarter to cut the deficit to 25-16.
With the Bloodhounds trailing by 13, Healy made a layup but the Dolphins responded with 10 straight points. Healy made two free-throws to head into halftime trailing 47-26.
CSI began the third on a 13-0 run. John Jay ended the period on a 10-5 run to cut the lead down to 67-41 heading into the final quarter.
Howard scored the Bloodhounds' first four points in the fourth. The Dolphins would go on to pick up their second CUNYAC victory of the season.
John Jay went 18-for-65 (27.7%) from the field, 4-for-18 (22.2%) from behind the arc, and 18-for-28 (64.3%) from the free-throw line.
The Bloodhounds travel to the City College of New York (CCNY) on Friday, December 7, for a conference game at 5:00 pm.
