The women's volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 (25-13, 25-22, 25-14) shutout victory over St. Joseph's College Brooklyn on Tuesday evening in Brooklyn, NY. The Bloodhounds pick up their first win of the season and improve to 1-2. The Bears drop to 0-3 overall.
Freshman
Niovis Monsanto fell three aces shy of her first double-double with a game-high 13 kills, seven service aces, and four digs. Sophomore
Brianna Geraldo recorded 12 kills and seven digs. Junior
Kimberly Rodriguez dished out a match-high 38 assists to go along with seven digs and three aces. Rodriguez has now amassed over 1,000 career assists.
Senior
Mballou Berete registered seven kills and freshman
Stephanie Marcano tallied seven digs. Senior
Hualeska Garcia finished with six digs and freshman
Sophia Wheelan added five kills.
John Jay totaled 47 kills, 42 assists, 43 digs, and 12 service aces.
