The women's basketball team fell to Brooklyn College, 99-72, on Wednesday evening at the Doghouse. With the loss, the Bloodhounds drop to 8-7 on the season and 4-4 in the conference. The Bulldogs improve to 9-6 overall and 6-1 in CUNYAC.

Nyasha Howard fell one rebound shy of a double-double while junior

Katie Healy were two rebounds short of a double-double. Albright led the offense with a team-high 19 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and a pair of steals.
Healy finished with 18 points, eight boards, and a team-high five assists. Howard registered 10 points, a team-high nine rebounds, four assists, and a team-high two blocks. Junior
Karen Rosario came off the bench to contribute 11 points and six boards.
Brooklyn took eight of the first 10 points of the game. Healy scored the next two baskets for John Jay as they trailed 14-6. At the end of the first, the guests held a 27-16 lead.
Albright opened the second with a layup but the Bulldogs responded with 10 straight points. At the half, the Bloodhounds were down 51-30.
John Jay was outscored by a margin of 21-17 in the third period. The Bloodhounds scored 27 points in the final quarter.
John Jay went 27-for-78 (34.6%) from the floor, 5-for-17 (29.4%) from behind the arc, and 13-for-20 (65.0%) from the free-throw line.
The Bloodhounds are back in action on Saturday, January 19, when they travel to Lehman College for a conference match at 12:00 pm.
