The women's basketball team lost to the University of Saint Joseph, 66-56, on Monday evening at the Doghouse. The Bloodhounds drop to 9-8 overall. The Blue Jays improve to 3-14 on the season.
Freshman
Katie Healy once again led John Jay with her seventh double-double of the season with a game-high 26 points, game-high 16 rebounds, and team-high five steals. Junior
Nyasha Howard finished with 13 points, five boards, and dished out a game-high four assists.

All'aha Albright came off the bench to register nine points and six rebounds. Junior
Karen Rosario added six points and six boards.
The guests used a strong first quarter to lead 21-11. The Bloodhounds chipped at the deficit in the second to head into halftime trailing 34-29.
John Jay once again cut the lead down three (46-43) at the end of three periods. Down by six with 5:20 remaining, Healy converted on a three-point play. Trailing by three, Howard made a layup and Healy scored the next three points to give the Bloodhounds a 55-53 advantage with 2:07 left to go.
The Blue Jays recorded the next four points to regain the lead 57-55. Howard made a free-throw to cut it to one but Saint Joseph ended the game on a 9-0 run for the road win.
John Jay finished 22-for-67 (32.8%) from the floor, 3-for-15 (20.0%) behind the arc, and 9-for-23 (39.1%) from the free-throw line.
