The women's volleyball team rolled past Lehman College, 3-0 (25-10, 25-5, 25-16), on Thursday night in the Bronx. The Bloodhounds improve to 3-12 on the year and 1-4 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. The Lightning drop to 3-18 overall and 2-4 in the conference.
Senior
Mirialis Almanzar led the way with a match-high eight kills. Senior
Kimberly Rodriguez dished out a game-high 17 assists to go along with a season-high and match-high eight service aces and six digs.
Sophomore
Niovis Monsanto recorded six kills and seven digs. Freshman
Jamarie Silverio added five aces and sophomore
Sophia Wheelan added five kills.
John Jay totaled 23 kills, 20 assists, 16 service aces, and 32 digs.
The Bloodhounds travel to Phoenixville, PA on Saturday, October 19, for a non-conference tri-match. John Jay will take on Delaware Valley State at 12:00 pm, followed by the University of Valley Forge at 2:00 pm.
