The men's volleyball team dropped a conference match to CCNY, 3-1 (25-20, 25-16, 23-25, 26-24), on Tuesday evening at the Nat Holman Gymnasium. The Bloodhounds conclude the regular season with an overall record of 10-18 and 3-4 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. The Beavers improve to 14-4 and 5-1 in the conference.
Freshman
Alejandro Gallardo led John Jay's offense with a team-high 12 kills and four digs. Junior
Krystian Surdel finished with nine kills and junior
Godwin Sequeira added a team-high 15 digs.
Sophomore
Dylan Senkiw tallied a team-high 30 assists, seven digs, four total blocks, and three kills. Sophomore
Anthony Francois notched seven kills and four total blocks. Freshman
Carlos Gomez had a team-high three solo blocks and team-high two service aces. Sophomores
Rintaro Kato and
Jose Peralta recorded seven digs each.
John Jay finished with 40 kills, 37 assists, 43 digs, 16 total blocks, and four service aces.
The #5 Bloodhounds will travel to #4 Medgar Evers in the CUNYAC Quarterfinals on Tuesday, April 9. Game time will be posted in the coming days.
