The men's basketball team nearly erased a 10-point deficit with 1:37 left in regulation but fell to Keystone College, 70-68, on Sunday afternoon in La Plume, PA. The Bloodhounds drop to 11-5 on the year. The Giants improve to 6-11 overall.

Senior Jayson Brower led both teams with a season-high and game-high 27 points, eight rebounds, a game-high six assists, and a pair of steals. Senior Doug Levy picked up his third consecutive double-double and 10th of the year with 13 points and a team-high 11 boards.

Freshman Corey Jones Jr. came off the bench to notch a career-high 10 points and three rebounds. Junior Kyle LaGuardia grabbed seven boards and junior Romello Ford finished with five rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

Keystone scored the first six points of the game, however Levy sank a three to cut the deficit to 10-8 with just under 14 minutes remaining in the first half. The hosts increased their advantage to seven but Brower ended the run by draining a three-pointer. John Jay would close the gap to one but the Giants ended the period on a 5-0 run to hold a 29-23 lead in a low scoring half.

Levy made back-to-back layups to open the second as John Jay trailed by two. Keystone responded with six straight until junior Odis Gause III made a jumper. With 11:52 left to go, senior Luciano Cruz-Fernandez hit a three to trim the lead to three.

The Giants broke open the game on a 9-1 run to go up by 11. With 4:41 left in regulation, Keystone increased its advantage to 18. With ninety-seven seconds on the clock, John Jay began its comeback to trail by 10. The Bloodhounds went to work as they cut the deficit to three with 53 seconds left. The hosts went back up by five but Brower made a layup with nine seconds remaining. A late free-throw sealed the victory for the Giants. Brower scored 18 points in the final 20 minutes.

John Jay went 25-for-75 (33.3%) from the field, 8-for-36 (22.2%) from behind the arc, and 10-for-22 (45.5%) from the free-throw line.
