In a battle of first place in the CUNYAC standings, the men's basketball team powered by Brooklyn College, 74-58, on Wednesday night in Brooklyn, NY. The Bloodhounds improve to 12-5 on the season and 6-1 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. The Bulldogs drop to 7-9 and 4-2 in the conference. 

Senior Jayson Brower picked up his sixth double-double of the season with 13 points, a game-high 12 rebounds, and four assists. Senior Doug Levy registered his fifth straight double-double and 12th of the year with a game-high 17 points, 10 boards, three assists, and a pair of steals. 

Sophomore Angel Rivera notched 12 points, three rebounds, and two steals. Junior Romello Ford finished with nine points, six rebounds, a game-high five assists, and three steals. Junior Kyle LaGuardia added seven rebounds, a game-high four steals, and a game-high three blocks. 

John Jay went 26-for-57 (45.6%) from the floor, 10-for-14 (71.4%) from behind the arc, and 12-for-16 (75.0%) from the free-throw line. 

The Bloodhounds visit  the College of Staten Island on Saturday, January 25, for a non-conference game at 3:00 pm.
