The women's basketball team powered by Medgar Evers College, 97-34, on Wednesday evening at the Doghouse. The Bloodhounds improve to 13-10 on the year and remain in second place in the CUNY Athletic Conference at 10-2. The Cougars drop to 6-16 overall and 2-10 in the conference.
Nyasha Howard once again made history for the John Jay women's basketball team as the senior registered the program's firs-ever quadruple-double and third straight triple-double. The guard/forward finished with 10 points, a game-high 14 rebounds, a game-high 10 assists, and a career-high 10 steals. Sophomore
Lily Rakitzis picked up her first double-double of her career with 23 points, a career-high 10 steals, and five assists.
Senior
All'aha Albright continued her hot shooting tying a team-high with 23 points, six rebounds, and four steals. Sophomore
Katie Healy tallied 17 points, seven steals, six assists, and five rebounds. Junior
Jessica Gorman grabbed 10 boards and sophomore
Jada Rencher finished with five steals. Freshman
Brianna Platia added a career-high nine points.
John Jay finished 39-for-102 (38.2%) from the field, 10-for-37 (27.0%) from behind the arc, and 9-for-13 (69.2%) from the charity stripe.
