BROOKLYN, NY -- The men's basketball team lost to Marywood University, 72-61, on Saturday night in the first game of the NYU Tip-Off hosted in Brooklyn, NY. The Bloodhounds drop to 0-3 on the season, while the Pacers improve to 2-1 on the year.
John Jay got off to a solid start, storming out of the gates to a 34-29 lead at halftime. However, the Pacers fought back and outscored the Bloodhounds by 16 in the second half to earn the victory.

Dan Kenny each amassed 17 points to lead John Jay in the game. Freshman
Bleron Lata was the other Bloodhound in double-figures with 10 points. Junior
Joel-Anthony Alleyne grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds. Junior
Angel Rivera played excellent defense, chipping in three steals and two blocks.
The Bloodhounds are back at it again tomorrow in the second game of the NYU Tip-Off. John Jay will take on Pratt Institute at 12 p.m. in Brooklyn, NY.
