HACKETTSTOWN, NJ -- The men's basketball team returned to the court for the first time in nearly two weeks on Tuesday night, but lost, 97-83, to the Centenary University Cyclones on Tuesday night in upper New Jersey. The Bloodhounds fall to 1-6 on the season while Centenary improves to 5-2 on the year.

Angel Rivera was the story of the game, putting together a career night. The Bayshore product poured in a career-high 31 points on 10-15 shooting (10-12 FT, 1-2 3PT), and also added four rebounds, three assists, two steals, and two blocks. Freshman
Jordan Bell added a career-high 13 points with six rebounds and three steals. Sophomore
Garrison Watkins chipped in his second double-double in a row with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore
Corey Jones Jr. was also in double-figures with 10 points.
John Jay's next game will be on Wednesday, December 8 against St. Joseph's College - Long Island in Patchogue, NY. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
