DALLAS, PA - The women's volleyball team dropped two non-conference matches on Saturday afternoon. The Bloodhounds fell to Misericordia, 3-0 (25-12, 25-20, 25-16), and Wells College, 3-1 (23-25, 25-20, 25-19, 25-20). The Bloodhounds fall to 1-2 on the season.
In the match vs. Misericordia, freshman
Reilly Catan led the offense with a team-high six kills. Freshmen
Johnelle Pierre and
Amanda Marte finished with five kills apiece. Freshman
Taylor Hunt led the defense with a match-high 11 digs and freshman
Meghan Smith added a team-high 17 assists.
Against Wells, Smith picked up her first double-double of the season with a game-high 23 assists and 10 digs. Freshmen
Kristin Gretener and
Rylea Sandel recorded a team-high 13 and eight digs, respectively. Marte tallied a team-high eight kills and eight digs. Catan had seven kills and nine digs.
John Jay totaled 51 kills, 48 assists, 12 service aces, three total blocks, and 86 digs on the day.
