Isaac Holmes helped lead a come-from-behind victory for the Bloodhounds, as they went on to defeat the CCNY Beavers, 80-73, on Monday afternoon at Nat Holman Gym. John Jay improves to 4-8 (2-1 CUNYAC) on the year, while CCNY falls to 5-8 (1-3 CUNYAC) on the season.
Holmes dropped a career-high 22 points on 7-12 shooting (4-7 3PT), and added five rebounds and three assists, and was the driving force as the Bloodhounds clawed back from behind to earn the win. Sophomore
Garrison Watkins notched 16 points and six rebounds. Junior
Angel Rivera added 15 points, and freshman
Corey Jones Jr. had 10 points. Sophomore
Mikhail Leston matched his career-highs with eight points and seven rebounds. Freshman
Jordan Bell added eight points and six rebounds.
