NEW YORK, NY -- The men's basketball team was defeated by the Baruch Bearcats, 82-69, on the road Saturday afternoon. The Bloodhounds fall to 4-10 (2-3 CUNYAC) this season, while Baruch improves to 11-4 (5-0 CUNYAC) on the year.
Sophomore
Joel-Anthony Alleyne had a career day for the Bloodhounds, pouring in a career-high (and team-high) 16 points which included a highlight-reel half court heave to beat the buzzer at the end of the first half. Freshman
Corey Jones Jr. chipped in 14 points and added three rebounds and two assists. Freshman
Jordan Bell collected eight points and a team-high eight rebounds. Junior
Angel Rivera and freshman
Isaac Holmes also reached double-figures, scoring 12 and 10 points, respectively.
The Bloodhounds return home to take on the York College Cardinals on Tuesday, January 25 at 8 p.m.
