NEW YORK, NY -- The men's volleyball team was defeated, 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-16), by the Baruch Bearcats on Thursday evening at ARC Arena. John Jay falls to 4-7 (2-2 CUNYAC) on the year while Baruch improves to 5-9 (3-0 CUNYAC) on the season.
The Bloodhounds led 11-10 in the first set after a kill from freshman
Akashdeep Singh, but the Bearcats rallied to take the lead and never looked back. They went on to win the first set 25-18, and then rode the momentum of that victory to coast to a sweep.
Singh matched his career-high with 15 kills in the game, while also adding a block and an ace. Freshman
Logan Ramos totaled six kills, three digs, and an ace. Sophomore
Jack Nugent chipped in five kills and two total blocks. Sophomore
Manuel Peralta had 26 assists in the match, to go with four digs and a block.
The Bloodhounds will look to bounce back on Saturday, March 12 when they host Brooklyn College at the Doghouse. First serve is set for 11 a.m. Stream will be available via
