First Set - The Bloodhounds were trailing 12-8 following an attack error but quickly rebounded, staging a 6-1 run of their own in taking a 14-13 lead, thanks to a kill from Lewis. Doring recorded an ace that gave the lead back to Baruch but the relentless Bloodhounds used a 9-3 outburst to push the lead back int their favor at 23-18. The visitors closed out the first set winner with a kill from Hailey Waugaman

Second Set - The visitors were in an early deficit, 7-3, following a kill from Julia Perkowski. A kill from Harer followed by two straight aces from Hunt evened the set at 8-8. The two teams traded points over the later parts of the set before a service error from Malia Reyes evened the match at 1-1.

Third Set - The momentum shifted in the Bloodhounds favor to start the third set, as John Jay raced out to a 9-4 advantage follow an ace from Lewis. Gretener served up two more aces that nearly doubled the Bloodhounds lead, 12-5, before Doring earned the point for the Bearcats. Holding on to a nine-point lead, 19-10, Baruch answered with a 6-2 run that closed the gap to 19-17 following another kill from Doring. The Bloodhounds took a 2-1 lead in the match as Lewis added to total with another kill to close out the set.

Fourth Set - John Jay used another hot start to take control of the tempo to start the fourth set, as the Bloodhounds went ahead, 7-1, following a service error from Baruch. The lead swelled to 10-3 following a bad set from Caroline Elfner, which forced the Bearcats to burn a timeout. Following the timeout, Baruch started to climb back in the contest, utilizing a 10-4 run that brought the home team to within one, 14-13, following a kill from Doring. Baruch rattled off six of the next nine points in taking a 19-18 lead on a kill from Chung, but a service error knotted the game back at 19. The two clubs traded points until an attack error by the Bloodhounds gave Baruch the momentum as Elfner closed the set with an ace, that set up the fifth and deciding set.
