New York, NY - The John Jay women's basketball team earned their third straight win after posting an 85-56 home triumph over Lehman on Saturday afternoon from The Doghouse.
With the victory, the Bloodhounds move to 9-6 overall and 3-1 in CUNY Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) play while the Lightning fall to 4-11 and 3-2 in the league.
Three Bloodhounds finished in double-figures, led by Kamryn Hammond, who netted a career-high 31 points on 10 of 13 shooting from the field. The Poughkeepsie, NY native hit on 3 of 6 from three-point range and converted on 8 of 10 from the free throw line in 21 minutes. Hammond paced John Jay with eight rebounds, five assists and three steals.
Chayanne Kelly recorded her 15th double digit scoring game, dropping 18 points in 26 minutes of action. Kelly corralled five rebounds while matching Hammond with a team-high five assists.
Michaela Lattimore enjoyed a career afternoon, as she tallied a personal-best 16 points on 7 of 9 shooting in nine minutes of action.
Lehman also had three players reach double figures, led by Ramatoulaye Diallo, who registered a double-double, concluding the contest with 16 points and 13 rebounds.
Myandra Duquesnay added 14 points, six of which coming from the free-throw line while Musharafa Muniru notched 11 points.

"It was great to be back playing at home for the first time in 2024. Today was a very efficient game from Michaela (Lattimore), who is finally feeling healthy after a rough start to the season. She proved that she can make an impact and be very efficient in short periods of time."
Lehman jumped out to an early 5-2 lead before John Jay outscored the Lightning, 20-6, over the final 8:11 of the first quarter, doubling up the visitors, 22-11.
John Jay continued their offensive prowess in the second quarter, scoring 24 of the 30 total points in the frame in taking a 46-17 lead into the break.
The Bloodhounds limited the Lightning to just 15.4 percent shooting in the second quarter (2 of 13) while they converted on close to 50.0 percent from the floor (47.4 percent | 9 of 19).
The Lightning began to find their rhythm from the field, staging a 21-11 run of their own over a near seven-minute span as Diallo served as the catalyst, scoring ten of the 21 points during the spurt. John Jay closed the stanza netting the final five points in taking a 67-38 lead.
The home team commenced the final quarter of action, opening the period on a 9-3 run to up their lead to 76-41 following a made free-throw from Kelly.
The visitors finished the contest outscoring the Bloodhounds, 14-9, over the final 5:34, with John Jay securing their third straight victory and first at home in 2024.
John Jay converted on 48.5 percent from the field while holding Lehman to just 33.3 percent. The Bloodhounds held a 43-33 edge on the glass, including a 30-24 edge on the defensive end.
The Bloodhounds forced 27 Lehman turnovers and scored 33 points of those mishaps. John Jay got significant contributions from their bench, outscoring the Lightning reserves, 27-5.
John Jay begins a three-game road swing, beginning on Wednesday, January 17, as the Bloodhounds will travel to CCNY for a 5:00 p.m. tipoff.
