Women's Tennis Drops Non-Conference Road Tilt At Kean On Saturday

Union, NJ - The John Jay women's tennis team fell to the Kean University Cougars, 6-1, on Saturday afternoon.

With the setback, the Bloodhounds fall to 3-6 while the Cougars move to 2-0 on the season.

The tandem of Kayla Saintard and Rose Azzu earned a 6-1 win over Guinora Kuchkorova and Zola Hallimana at No. 2 doubles.

Kean picked up the doubles victory with wins at No. 1 and No. 3.

Azzu earned the lone singles victory for the visitors as she defeated Ashley Tarazona, 6-1; 6-1, at No. 3 singles play. With the win, Azzu earned her fourth singles win of the year and moved to 2-1 at No. 3 play.

The Bloodhounds resume CUNYAC play on Thursday, October 17 as they will host Baruch at the USTA National Tennis Center.

The first serve is set for 6:30 p.m.
