New York, NY - College Sports Communicators (CSC) released the 2025 Academic All-District® women's soccer team over the holiday break, with three members of the John Jay women's soccer team earning a spot.
The Bloodhounds, fresh off capturing the program's fifth CUNYAC title in six years, had
Sofia Astarbi,
Lillith Eaton, and tri-captain
Daniela Vazquez named to the team this year.
For Astarbi and Vazquez, this marks the second straight season, while Eaton earns her first accolade from the organization.
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
In all, six CUNYAC women's soccer student-athletes were named to the Academic All-District team, with Brooklyn College joining the Bloodhounds with three selections
: Zasu Alvarez, Sage Bernstein, and Audrey Jane Young.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced Dec. 16, 2025 (men) and Dec. 17, 2025 (women).
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with fulfilling the awards for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
