New York, NY - For the second time this season, John Jay men's basketball senior wing
Keyshawn Miller was named CUNYAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday afternoon.
This marks the fourth time in his career that Miller has collected the honor and is the second time this season the Yonkers, NY native has been named Player of the Week.
The senior wing logged 38.6 minutes per game across contests against Baruch and Medgar Evers, averaging 20.5 points per game while shooting 56.7 percent from the field. He was highly efficient from beyond the arc, converting 70.0 percent of his three-point attempts (7-of-10), while also contributing 9.0 rebounds, 7.5 assists, 3.0 steals, and 2.0 blocks
Against Baruch in a rematch of last season's CUNYAC Championship, Miller delivered a historic performance, recording John Jay's first triple-double in 15 years as Miller finished with 10 points, 11 rebounds - including nine on the defensive glass and a career-high 12 assists.
Miller followed that effort with a dominant showing at Medgar Evers, posting his second 30-point performance of the season as he poured in 31 points on 13 of 19 shooting while connecting on 5 of 6 from the outside. He grabbed seven rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and two steals in 38 minutes of action.
Miller and the Bloodhounds will gear up to host Brooklyn College on Wednesday, February 11 at 8:00 p.m.
