New York, NY - For the third time in her John Jay tenure, sophomore forward
Ava Lopez earned CUNYAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday afternoon.
For the Saint Paul, MN native, it is her first conference accolade since she was named Player and Rookie of the Week on October 14 and September 2 of last season.
Lopez was among the catalysts in John Jay's first win of the season, recording two goals and an assist in John Jay's 8-0 road triumph over Saint Elizabeth.
The sophomore striker placed eight of her 15 shots on goal during the win.
Lopez and the rest of the Bloodhounds will be back in action on Wednesday, September 23, as they will take on Kean Jersey City on Randall's Island - Field 70 at 3:45 p.m.
