Box Score The men's tennis team swept Lehman College, 9-0, on Thursday afternoon in the Bronx. The Bloodhounds improve to 2-6 on the year and 2-3 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. The Lightning drop to 0-6 overall and 0-5 in the conference.
At number one doubles, the tandem of seniors
Yevgeniy Remennik and
Luis Chirinos won their match, 8-5. Senior
Kelvin Rodriguez and junior
Richard Mills shutout Lehman's #2, 8-0. Closing out doubles at number three were freshmen
Oscar Wu and
Jowel Ahmed, who won 8-5.
The Bloodhounds did not lose a set in singles play. Remennik defeated Lehman's number one, 6-0, 6-2. At four singles, Rodriguez cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 win. Playing in the five spot, Wu won easily 6-1, 6-0.
