Box Score The men's tennis team defeated York College, 9-0, on Saturday afternoon in Jamaica, NY. The Bloodhounds improve to 3-9 overall and 3-3 in CUNYAC. The Cardinals drop to 0-7 overall and 0-3 in the conference.
At number one doubles, senior
Richard Mills and junior
Carlos Negron won 8-2. In the second spot, the duo of junior
Maksim Gorelov and freshman
Mohammed Ahmed defeated their opponent, 8-1. In the final doubles match, junior
Luis Gonzalez and sophomore
Jowel Ahmed came away with an 8-2 win.
After sweeping singles, Mills (first) and Negron (third) did not lose a set as they both won 6-0, 6-0. Gorelov (second) and M. Ahmed (fourth) both won by a final score of 6-1, 6-1. J. Ahmed cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 victory and in the final spot, Gonzalez was victorious after winning 6-2, 6-3.
